Hello and welcome to PCHF familyman.

Pls help! with Nero7 premium, my newly purchased NEC ND3540A [F/w: 1.03] could not perform end of Disc-at-once function. I have wasted quite a number of DVD..
To solve this problem you will need to change the physical installation of your DVD drive.

How many hard drives and cd-rom/dvd drives do you have in your PC?

Open up the case and make sure that your DVDRW is set to master, I would also recommend that you run it on a separate IDE cable.

If you have another CD-ROM drive then you can set it to slave and connect it to the same IDE that the hard drive is connected to.

If you need further advice don't be afraid to ask.

hi, I have one primary HD, onve CD-ROM and one NEC burner. I am using a external enclosure to house my NEC burner which set to master. The enclosure is connected using USB2.0 to my laptop.

Alright that rules out my idea then.:icon_scra

Are you running the latest updates, windows/drivers e.t.c?

Has this drive ever worked 100%?

If you aren't already up to date on your windows and drivers I recommend that you do so now.

It could be a firmware issue, you can download an updated firmware from here:

Hey Guys,

I am not an expert at this by any means, but I was curious if you had had any success with any other settings, than Disc-at-Once? It might help to see if the trouble is hardware or software related.
