Burning DVD+R 16X with Nero.
Hi Hengis.
I have got some 16X dvd+R's. When I try to use one, Nero only gives me the option of recording up to 8X. In the help files in Nero it says that sometimes Nero may not pick up the attributes of a DVD RW drive correctly. It says that you can get Nero to re-recognise the drive and see if it picks up any differences then. The problem is that you need the Nero cd-rom to access the file that starts the process. Unfortunately I no longer have the Nero disc. Do you think this could be the problem? If so, is there any other way of getting Nero to recognise the full speed of the drive.
I also have another problem. Nero will let me copy data files etc to DVD+R, however when I try to do a direct copy of another DVD from my other DVD-rom drive, Nero always gives an error message after creating the image to burn, and then says that the read process failed, and then kicks out the disc. Could this be a problem with the other older DVD drive, i.e. is it too old to read the discs properly.
Any help would be much appreciated.
