Default large videocard in mid ATX case

These videocards such as GeForce 9800 GTX+, ENGTX260 and Radeon HD 4890 are quite large. Would they fit in a sonata II case, which has
-3 hard disks
-2 dvd-drive
-1 floppy drive

Hi Okee,

Yes your graphics cards should fit in that case but you may have to take out the air guide. The Sonata III case doesn't have the air guide so it wont cause any problems if you don't use it.

I've read that both engtx 260 and ati 4870 may get very hot. Would it be sufficient to place 1 extta fan at the front side of the case?

It should be. Or as many fans as you can fit in the case.

Try to have at least two fans...one for intake (cold air) and one for outtake (hot air).

I have an EVGA GTX 260 SSC (with stock cooling) and it idles @ 53C and never gets above 72C while running 3DMark06. I have an 80mm & a 120mm case intake fan, and a high velocity (135cfm) 120mm case exhaust fan.
