Default Good looking and quality case suggestions

Hey guys,

I want to replace my pc system case because the last one was too small, all the parts only had enough space to fit in not plenty of comfortable space. My Psu was very close to my Cpu cooler (v8 cm) which was blowing heat into it which was bad. I want a case that doesnt squash my psu too close too the cpu cooler, has good airflow, lots of fan mounting postitions, looks good, has a removable tray for motherboard access and of course doesn't cose too much. Will motherboard compatible be an issue?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Hi, and welcome to the PCHelpForum.

I'll mark your thread as [Question] to encourage the clever ones among us to help you out.

I do have a note though, that I see when I read your question.

You want a different case because your graphics card is too small to the CPU right? But these components are all on your motherboard, so a different case will not change the location of these components giving the same problem.

Then again, its common to see these components relativelly close to eachother. This is due to the fact that the AGP and PCI-Express slots are as close to the CPU as possible to ensure the best performance.

Then again, they both blow air out, so they are not really getting the heat from eachother but push both heat to another direction. You can install additional fans to blow the warm air out of the case and on another location to blow cold air in to make a better airflow, and yes, another case can assist in this. But yon won't be able to solve the "CPU too close to GPU" problem.

So maybe you want to rethink if you still want a new case. If so, we'll still want to help you out though, don't worry about that.

If you want a new case:

NZXT Zero 2 Crafted Series Case at Xoxide!

Great case. Cheap and has 3 120mm fans. It also is full tower, as you said you wanted lots of case room.

Check out these two sites for some pretty cool cases and good prices.

Xoxide.com - Custom ATX Computer Cases, PC Mods, Computer Case mods, and Modded PC Cases

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

FrozenCPU.com | 1.877.243.8266 | World's Largest Selection of PC Modification Supplies

Good luck with finding one!

Hi, thank you all for your replies

I still don't know what case to get, i need one that would have enough room for my v8 coolermaster to fit in without having to remove the case fan

Yeah the V8 cooler is a problem in most cases. I would suggest the Cooler Master Cosmos which has the PSU at the bottom of the case and a lot of internal room. Not the S version as the side panel fan has to be removed to fit the V8 in.

If I may make a suggestion on this I don't know if this is still something your looking into or you have decided. If you know how to work with metal even the slightest then maybe you should by a fancy case and that should be chosen depending on what you want to do how much room form factor of your motherboard and your video card. I would suggest getting a nice big case like an atx full tower that is compatible with atx/micro atx.

Newegg.com - Thermaltake Armor Series VA8003BWS Black Full Tower Case w/ 25CM Fan - Computer Cases

There is my suggestion. It is a huge case has lots of space. Only drawback to this is having to buy a new power supply unit if your cords wont reach however to me it's worth a shot. I did it with mine and it worked though I bought a power supply with 4 ft of cord lol.
