I have been given a Dell Tower, i was told it was working with an OS installed etc. of course it isnt working when i got it home, either the hard drive has been nicked or it's broken ..!

I have a hard drive i can put in it but i'll be dammed if i can find out how, the case with it's plastic surrounds everywhere, comes apart.

All the previous PC towers i have had anything to do with, come apart so easy, but this DELL is so plasticky it is impossible to know how to unclip anything.

tim

Hi Timmy do you know what Dell it is?

If it shows no screws it may have a oval button on top and bottom it looks like a design feature.press both buttons in and it may open like a reading book? They are a bit sticky/hard to open.

Or are you able to post a pick?

Tim the case opens via front of pc one of the sides i think left side opens up.there are metal bits there when you try to open it they get jammed on those dell cases. It dont open via back panels.
They are a pain to open.

Push down realy hard and try giggling case about a bit.It will open eventualy.

Those make dells break and go wrong easily, they always need fixing.

Timmy that model will take up to 1.24 gig RAM but it is the older type not DDR2.

Im almost sure it is one notch RAM not two like older Dell models.
