Default 2 Issues: Expansion Slot Blanks / Case Speaker

1.
When trying to install a card into my case, I removed one of the expansion slot covers. Unfortunately, the card didn't fit and this case uses punchouts instead of screw-in blanks. Does anybody know where I can buy some cheap blanks to cover the hole that has resulted, and preferably a pack of 7 so I can punch out the others so the case's back doesn't seem all mismatched.

2.
My case came with a speaker to plug into the motherboard to hear system beeps and all that (duh). I don't have RAM, a Processor, or a Video Card, so I would assume that this would be a cause for the speaker to go off. It doesn't. I put it in both ways because the speaker was not labeled and it wasn't any more difficult to put on one way or the other, but it doesn't work either way.

Hey rodents210.
I couldnt find a seven pack, but heres a six pack to go for you. LOL
6-Pack expansion slot brackets / inserts (cover or backplates) for PC cases -Best Computer Online Store Houston Buy Discount Prices Texas-Directron.com
Theyre cheap enough though, you could get two packs and have some extra.

Your speaker should work plugged either way, although some are polarized, it should work either way. As far as the no beeps, does it even power up without a processor in it? I dont think youll get a beep without it.

uncleed is correct.

If a motherboard has no processor in it - it will not do much. Infact it's rather dangerous turning it on without all the parts inside.

Ah. Okay. It does power up and I have a warranty, but installing it was a hassle so I don't want to take that risk of damaging it! Is there any way to make sure my motherboard works without the components? I want to test all my components as I get them so I can be sure they all work without having to buy them all at once.

6 should be enough because even though the blank it came with only fits in the top slot, the top slot isn't connected to any PCI or PCI-e slots so I'm just going to add the mobo's additional USB expansion. Is there anywhere that sells those that I don't need to have a $10 minimum-order limit?

Unforuntately there is no way of knowing the motherboard will work without CPU RAM and graphics all plugged in.

There's no way around this.
