Default X Cruiser case problem.

Hi all, again .

Here's my mobo:

HP and Compaq Desktop PCs -  Motherboard Specifications, PTGD1-LA (Puffer)

I got the X Cruiser case today, took me five hours to transfer everything over from the old case to the new, but i did it , here's some info on the new case:

Aspire X-Cruiser Thermally Advantaged Case - Black

Everything was working fine, the three gauges on the front worked, i was happy. But after i rebooted my pc to test the reset button on the case, i noticed that the VU gauge/meter (measures dB/sound) was not working when i was playing music/games.

I have no idea what has caused this, i checked all the connections inside my pc, all perfectly fine. checked my bios, nothing there...so now i'm totoally clueless.

Appreciate any replies. thank you!.

1) reset is kind of "harsh" on a system that's fully booted into windows-- it's more intended for a system that encounters an unknown boot error-- so it is prevented from booting completely at all. Push reset and it just recycles the whole initial boot process.
Doing it from your desktop is like shutting down using the power-button. (not recommended)

Have you tried rebooting again... using the Start button ??

Hi Thingamajig.

I've not had much experience with the guages for a long time - but the last time i tried to install one, i found that it broke exceptionally easy...infact mine broke in about 2 hours...so i gave up on them forever.

Your best bet first is to check the power cable to make sure that it's all plugged in properly.

EDIT: you beat me ih8bills
