ok, I have checked my BIOS and the poer management is set-up thus,
ACPI suspend type - S1(POS)
Soft off by power button - Instant off
PME event wake up - Enabled
Modem Ring off - Enabled
USB resume from suspend - Enabled
Power on by alarm - Disabled
Power on by keyboard - Disabled
Power on by mouse - Disabled
AC BACK function - Soft off
I don't think there is a problem with this and am still sure that the problem is with the M/board front panel jumpers and the way I have them set up. I however still can't see the problem with these yet. Like I said I have the touch panel power cable inserted into the PWR-LED socket of the M/board which must be wrong but is the only available 2 pin socket for this cable. This has also been the only configuration that allows me to boot the system. With out this cable connected the pc gets a couple of seconds of power as the
cpu and case fan start to rotate but then the system shuts down.
Thanx Doughnuts
