A few days ago one of my PC's was "dead" after I got home from work. Tried to turn the system on but no noise, nothing. Notice a strange smell, assumed it to be the
PSU. This would be the third one in 4 years. Replaced the
PSU tonight. Now I have power but no video and no boot. The CD drives run, the
CPU fan is on, but no video, just a repetitive beep coming from the
MoBo. 1 second on about 5 off then back to 1 sec on. Any ideas? I built this PC 4 years ago (AMD Athlon XP 1.6, Aopen AK77-333, Nvidia gForce 400, Sound Blaster, NIC, WLAN). Changed nothing in the case other than blowing tons of dust out of the
CPU cooler and off of the cards. I am lost here!

I did try and look up the Bios beep code for the MB (Phoenix BIOS) but none of the described patterns matches what I am hearing!
