Cases - [Pending] New PC Case and can't get the power button LED to work. posted in the Hardware forums; Last thought - do you have a digi camera? You could take a low res shot of the header and attach it here...

Default New PC Case and can't get the power button LED to work.

What about hooking up the Hard drive LED to it, if it lights that then you know you have a dodgy power led, or take a multimeter to the power led and see if there is a break somewhere in the circuit, could also try attaching it to the pins on the m/board and see what voltage you get off of it

Default New PC Case and can't get the power button LED to work.

I like the idea of hooking up the HDD led. Also, how can the case be non-standard? I thought all PC cases were exactly the same with regard to things like LED connectors etc

Default New PC Case and can't get the power button LED to work.

I tried hooking up the hd led to the slot on the mboard but that does not work either. I will post a low res picture of the PB panel on the Mboard and the connector from the case. I thought cases were standard however the old case used a 2 wide connector for the power led, and the new case uses a 3 wide connector.
