Default BSOD While gaming

This has been happening for awhile, it used to only happen every few weeks or so and it doesn't matter what game it is. Now its happening more frequently like sometimes 2-3 a night after a couple hours of gaming. I have checked and there is no heat issues at all. I though it was a Vista problem so I got windows 7 to no avail, sometimes it said nvlddmkm.sys in the BSOD so I went and got an ati 4890 but then I got one again and this was last night. So I decided instead of buying new parts I will ask help from people that know what they are doing. Here are the dump files, the first 2 were from my 8800gt that I replaced yesterday and the other from last night.

Thanks for the detail Sam & welcome to PCHF.

Your problems are related to the following Microsoft article: Possible Resolutions to STOP 0x0A, 0x01E, and 0x50 Errors

^ have already ruled out drivers from that list. Double check that the version of McAfee your running is compatible with Windows 7 or un-install it just to rule out this possibility. However this looks very much like a memory related issue to me. Check for faulty memory by running memtest86. Instructions for memtest can be found here: http://www.pchelpforum.com/memory/58...nload-run.html

Thankyou for the fast response. The version of Mcafee is compatable I used to have Windows live one care but Windows 7 compatability test said live one care was not compatable Mcafee was just put on about oct 3 this year. One more thing is memtest86 compatable with Windows 7 64 bit. Again thankyou for the help I hope it is the memory that is the cheapest thing left to replace lol.

memtest86 runs from outside of Windows via CD or floppy at startup, so need need to worry about Windows compatibility. Let us know how it goes.

I ran the test doing 7 passes I would have run it longer but I needed the comp for tonight I will run it tomorrow I will run it all night, do I need to turn ECC on. But it didn't find any errors. Up at the top left right under where it says memtest86+ and the version #, is it suppose to show you your cpu and cache info cause on that it said Pentium III 3000 Mhz, level 1 cache 64 kb, level 2 cache unknown, if so it should have said core 2 dou 3000 mhz, don't see level 1 cache in the specs but has level 2 cache 6mb. Is there a cpu test like memtest86+.
