May I ask why are you attempting a recovery to start with? only that it's possible problems may be related.

The 0x7b stop error occurs when Windows is not able to find the hard drive. This may be because of a physical hardware fault with the drive itself, or the driver could not be loaded, usually in the case of Acer if your not using the correct CD's.
