Default Bugcode_usb_driver

Well, firstly, sorry abt creating another thread about my problem. I just could not find my last thread. Anyway after a few weeks(I guess), I finally got a BSOD-BUGCODE_USB DRIVER dump file created. Seems to me like something wrong with the privileges, but let's not bother about that. Attached is my dump file.

Hi NTX, are you running a virtualised operating system?

No, I am running my Vista OS on my primary hard drive and it is the only OS running on this computer.

hmmm, the problem occurs with some kind of virtual USB device driver. I've only ever seen it used when running VMWare, but I can't tell from the log exactly what device is responsible. The only way to test would be to disconnect one USB device at a time, and then see if your problem re-occurs.

Well, before doing that, my PC again received a BSOD. Attached is the dump file. This time, the BSOD was too fast for me to see if it was Bugcode usb driver. Before I received the BSOD, I was opening my browser, Opera.

Also, I checked the Event Viewer and found only four errors that occurred in the last hour,
Event ID:11 Source: Atapi
Details:The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Ide\IdePort0.

Event ID:6008 Source: Eventlog
Details:The previous system shutdown at 21:54:05 on 2009/10/28 was unexpected.

Event ID:7000 Source:Service Control Event Log Provider
Details:The Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

Event ID:7009 Source:Service Control Event Log Provider
Details:A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service service to connect.

The error about atapi happened the most.

Hi NTX, I am absolutely certain you have some kind of related virtual software installed on this PC, perhaps something that just takes volume snapshots? I noticed that there is a file installed on your PC called symsnap.sys, possibly belonging to Symantec or Storagecraft. This file is generally used to create virtual snapshots of a disk. In any case, this software is not functioning properly, as your security software seems to be treating it as a threat, and attempting to block it's activity. :/
