errr, just to make doubley sure, not too worried about the jumper being snug. I'm worried about the jumper being connected to the incorrect pins. It should be set to Master, this is very important. If your unsure, please let me know. The jumpers look like this:



..and you'll need to check on the label on the front of the drive, or sometimes underneath to see which pins are Master, and which are Slave. It really does need to be set to Master.

I am going to check the jumper settings tonight. Anyway, just an offtopic, I read from one forum that said that I can set the Folder to generate the dump file to C:\Minidump. Can this work?

If it's a physical problem, no. But if you had an additional hard drive, you could specify the minidump folder to point there instead.

Now to wait for a BSOD and post it here. Kind of ironic, people seldom want BSODs, but I want them now... Hah!
