Happens unpredictably; both times I had Firefox open, nothing else in common.
Hopefully it's just my wireless adapter and it won't complicate things any further.

wow Rod, you are the king of blue screens!! rofl
OK. You have a compatibility issue here with Zone Alarm and some other application or component (can't tell for certain). Make sure that your not running any other firewall software, however the most common cause is Microsoft C++ or .NET related application. Most often occurs during the installation of such components, could this be the case here? This is a known Zone Alarm issue. |

My computer just LOOOOVES to BSOD. Just my laptop, though; my desktop has a pretty good handle on itself.
Unless it was a program updating in the background, which they very well could have been, since most of my automatically-updating programs have privileges that don't require ZA to alert me to them. I figure that I'll just reformat before sending it off for the Network Card issue, since I'm experiencing other problems as well (some are generic common issues, but some I want to blame on SecuROM since I didn't have some before installing Spore). After I get it back I'll probably do some research on an alternate firewall. As much as I love ZoneAlarm, I can't have it on my x64 PC so I might as well be consistent. Thanks as always! |

Rodents210, suggestion.
I have my computer set up for Windows Updates to download automatically, but to ask me before installing so I can choose what I want installed. Also, if I'm having a problem with installing an update, I'm right there and know the problem was caused by the install and not something else. You might consider a similar configuration yourself and you can install the updates one at a time if necessary. It might minimize your crashes. On the other hand, Madmonkey wouldn't have anything to do then... Forget I said anything.
