hi can anyone help me.
my problem started when i was prompted to update to windows xp service pack 3. since doing this my pc keeps restarting, but only if i appear online on msn messenger. if i say appearing offline it doesnt restart. i have done a system restore and a full antivirus scan and no virus found, but my problem is still happening.

Have you tried downloading the latest version of Windows Live Messenger and reinstalling it? If not try that to see if it fixes the problem.

Do you get a bluescreen flash up when it restarts? If so please follow the instructions in the link below and attach some minidump files if reinstalling messenger doesn't fix it.

Sorry I missed your post. It looks like the bsod is caused by Stuffit or some other Allume software. Try uninstalling it to see if that fixes your problem.

Please post back if it does not.
