situation resolved. Might I add what a wonderful tool that mem test is. Ok I read and followed the instructions and ran 2 memtest at the same time, came up with bad memory. Through process of elimination and patience I tracked down the faulty memory to a 512 stick. My Pc had 2, 1gig sticks and 2, 512 sticks. Anyway just to be safe i ran memtest all night without the faulty stick, woke up and everything was still running fine.

This forum and the ppl who make it happen are amazing. For too long Ive been getting the run around with customer support and other forums for this problem, but Ive never gotten this level of direction and help. Thank you all very much.
