Blue Screen Errors - BSOD - Data Dumps..HELP posted in the Software forums; well just had alook around, there isnt a disc for graphics card. so what do i do when i hit cancle..? figure all this out before i uninstall it. and ...

well just had alook around, there isnt a disc for graphics card. so what do i do when i hit cancle..? figure all this out before i uninstall it. and why does it matter to do it from windows offer.. sorry to pester, just trying to learn as i go along

The reason you do not want to let windows install the driver is becuase they are "generic" drivers. Means they are not really for extended use. I never use them becuase you can run into trouble with them,

Wish you can download those drivers on the web this way you will not need the disc

just tried that, cant get it to work on the site, turned my internet down to medium, and when i click install active x on the drop down bar, ir refreshes the site, but then doesnt carry on, and when i click it, just gives me an options menu that is no use to anyone. help to get around it.. only been doin that for past few days, dno why either. nvr had any problems like that before.

this is my problem, firts time i go on the page the drop down bar comes on and i click install active x, and then the page refreshes, but then the drop down bar comes on again and says: did u a screen print, do u know how i stop my secutiry and get it to allow me to do this test...

I had an ECS board and the caps right nest to the memory modules were leaking causing that symtem.

Thanks JSM, we did run through memtest at the beggining of the thread to see if it was a memory issue, but it doesn't look like it at this point. It ran through 7 phases (did not fully complete) so the RAM issue is not 100% ruled out, but least likely at this stage.

Gaz, at the top of that screen shot you posted, there is a yellow bar at the top that says "Your security settings do not allow websites to use ActiveX controls on your computer. This page may not display properly. Click for options...". Normally when you right click on this banner, you can "Allow" and continue using PC Pitstop.

I can see your using Bitorrent also. This application causes a memory leak when with NVidia Firewall installed. Suggest you uninstall this to see this resolves your issues. Cant say any more on this subject due to PCHF's Rules concerning this kind of software.
