no joy, wasnt bein that stupid i nthe first place, i dont know why it wont work, nothin happens, tried rebootin, dwnloadin again, running instead of saving, savin on harddrive dired instead of my doc, still nothin when i double click...

don't know why, just had a brain wave to check my device manager see if anything was flashed up as not working:

seems my graphics card has an issue, u think that could be the cause of the problems..?

If you right click on NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200 and go to Properties, it should give you the current "Device Status"?

sorry i took my time to reply, pc decided it was going to crash a few times and run super slow. heres a screen print of all 4 properties options:

Also if you have your windows cd pop it in and click start...Run... then tpye in sfc /scannow with a spcae between c and the / Seems you have a couple files out of place, this will cause those problems as well..

downloaded that update thing, wouldnt run like other things ive tried today, and when i put my xp disc in kept asking for professional disc 2, only problem is, i dont have a disc 2, only ever got one disc with the booklet when i had it installed.

ideas..?

plus when i just looked as i thought my xp disc is home edition, so why would it ask for professional one..?
