Well I left it on for an hour.
..It stopped at the 1 minute, 21 mark. Total percent 5%, Task 3 at 55%.
I then restarted. It stopped at Tast 2.

I really don't like the fact it wouldn't go past Task 3. If you can honestly tell me that if I leave it on overnight and in the morning it will make much more progress, I'll give it one more overnight shot.

Yes, I usually always recommend leaving it on overnight.

ek. I've seen memtest take 9 hours before, but it's normally complete by then. I've never seen it freeze for that length of time. This doesn't really confirm RAM, but could possibly mean that the problem may be with the motherboard itself accessing the memory as apposed to the memory itself, but we have no way of testing.

There is another memory test you can do, but this is assuming that you have more than one stick of memory, and that only a single stick is faulty. This means to open your PC, and remove each stick of memory, leaving just one. Start your PC normally and see if you have problems. If you do, swap with another stick.

Whilst you have removed the memory, double check the make of the memory to make sure you haven't been given cheap unbranded memory.

MM - There's also the possibility that the ISO came as a corrupted download, preventing it from proceeding. He should re-download and re-burn it to see if that works.

I tried doing one stick at a time, right? Both ran the tests perfectly fine and finished.
I put them together and it froze..again.
I then looked at the Motherboard. There's a total of 4 RAM slots, and 2 are blue and 2 are whiteish. It's like BW *space* BW I had it so both sticks were on one BW section. I then made it so they would both be on a B.
I ran the test and it finished. And I am relieved.

So now I have 2 RAM sticks working, in the above configuration.
Though I won't say I'm safe yet, Ill have to give it a few days, see how it all works.
..Is there anything else I should do?
