Cool Norton 360 3.0 settings

I recently installed Norton 360 3.0 in my laptop. I uninstalled the trial version of Norton Internet Security. The system is running slower, which I expected. I use Internet Explorer 7.0, Firefox 3.0, and Google Chrome as web browsers. I cannot use IE 8 as it is incompatible with the university web site. Firefox seems much slower. I must have an antivirus program in operation, it is an online university requirement. Any setting adjustments I can make to be protected but speed thing up? I am running Windows Vista, AMD Althon dual core, and 3.0GB RAM in a HP G60

Hi,
Try running Ccleaner and see if that makes a difference, it's available from here CCleaner - Home

It will clear out junk files that have accumulated on your hard drive. If you use the Registry cleaner be sure to back up your Registry before you start....just in case you have to restore it at a later date
