Hello I have the Avira Anti-Virus software and when i try to start a system check it goes to about 62% and then hangs itslef up with an .ACE packed file in one of my game add ons. is there a general problem with that?

It could very well be that Avira does not know what to do with the file. Have you tried scanning just that one file?
