Default free anti-virus to removeable disk?

hello all!! ok so im rather new to computers but have been playing around for a little while now. I found avg anti-virus, malwarebytes anti-malware, spybot s&d and ccleaner work really good for me. A friend of mine just bought a pc and is completely illiterate when it comes to computers, so im trying to help him out. I would like to hook him up with at least avg and malwarebytes, but he has dial up and it takes like 17 hours to d-load then it poops out on him b4 the download completes. long story short...was wondering how (or if i can) i go about d-loading it from my pc onto a disk that i can give to him? I appreciate any help on this subject, and please remember...im still a nub myself, try not to b too hard on me

Hey shaggyy,

You can just download the files from your computer on to a USB flash drive, or put them on to a CD. Then you can bring them to the computer that takes forever to download them, and put them right on.

hi shaggyyj, its very easy, go to the websites of avg and malwarebytes. re-download the setup files and save them to somewhere like your desktop.

if you have a usb drive, insert it. your pc should ask you if you want to open explorer to view its files and such. if it doesnt, you can find it under my computer. then just drag and drop the files in.

if you want to put them onto a disc, insert a blank disc in your cd drive. then drag the downloaded files into the drive that has the blank disk and they will be put into a temporary folder for files ready to be copied. then just select the folder and press write these files

no prob. on a side note: you should tell your friend to ditch dial-up, thats like late 90's tech? lol idk.. when i had aol dial-up it was 25$/month and incredibly slow, an isp like verizon offers high-speed dsl using the same phone lines for like 17$/month. just a suggestion
