I respectfully disagree Mazchazo. I've used Norton, the newer Symantec, and AVG and had as much if not more success with AVG. My system has stayed clean for the past 3+ years with AVG, Windows Defender, and Windows Firewall. All at no cost to me.

OK All, For the record, regardless of the product you personally prefer, there are more than one free AV that have good reputations. I think that before any further discussion is taken on, we should get back to the original poster of this thread. @ Noway, you should post back if you were infected to make sure that your PC is clear, before you start adding any type of software. There are choices at your disposal for AV, as well as Anti-Spyware, and Firewalls. The trick is to start with a clean PC. We look forward to hearing from you. TTFN LGW

Hi devenroy,
Welcome to PCHF, and thank you for offering help. However, please see the previous post by myself, as well as the notes made by the user blaz1988. The rules at PCHF require that only Security staff give advice related to malware and its removal. Thanks. Looking forward to seeing you in the forum.
