Hello - I am having problems installing anti-virus software. My Norton expired without me knowing it. I have tried upgrading Norton, but it wouldn't install, saying it couldn't remove everything. Then I tried Panda, and got the same thing. I even found something online that showed my exact problem with Panda, but it wouldn't work. I have gotten really frustrated and would appreciate some expert help. I spent 4 hours with Norton people, and got nothing.
I did run some kind of rootkit remover, which found nothing. I have downloaded the two applications suggested by this site, and will run them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Howdy AV_Issues and Welcome to PCHELPFORUM
Can you do this for me? Click My Computer Click On Program Files Then Look for Nortons folder and let me know if there is anything in it. As sometimes uninstalling norton can be a hassle if not done right the first time.

I agree on the Norton Removal Tool. You may also wish to have a look at this:

Hi
You can uninstall the Norton anti virus in the safe mode. Or you can use revo uninstaller or Norton removal tools. After properly remove the anti virus, then try to install it again and update it. |
