What is the benefit of the installation of 2 antivirus in one computer

Hello,

Running multiple anti-virus programs at the same time can cause conflicts and performance problems. Please refrain from doing that!

You can have multiple anti-virus programs installed, but please do ensure that only ONE real-time protection is on at one single time.

The other anti-virus scanner can be used as an on-demand scanner, that is, you only run it when you want to scan your PC with it.

The benefit of this set-up is that you can get a second opinion. We know that no single anti-virus program can detect and remove everything. So this may be a good set-up to have when you suspect your computer is infected but your resident anti-virus program cannot find anything.

For me, I'm more inclined to running online scanners instead to achieve the same desired outcome. Examples include Panda ActiveScan and Kaspersky Online Scanner. You get similar benefits, and you don't have to install anything on your PC.
