On startup, I see trend micro 'loading' in my icon menu however after a few seconds the logo disappears. (once it loads, the logo is suppose to stay on the icon menu) When I open the program, the window opens fine, however when I go to run a scan, it stops. It doesn't exactly freeze, it just will not run a scan or do an update if I choose that as well. When I check the log, it hasn't ran a scan for about 5 days now.

For a side note for anyone looking at this, I already sent a prework log to the website, and a tech said that everything looked fine.

Are we talking about the Trend Micro Security Suite or Hijackthis?

Trend Micro Antivirus software, NOT hijack this.

Do you have the install CD that came with it? If so try uninstalling and reinstalling. If that does not work let's run the Prework and get you checked for malware.

I do have the install cd, however it is VERY outdated, and actually I have a different trend micro installer (directly from trend micro) that i use to install from. Also I already submitted a prework thread, and a tech said I was fine.

Is it the same program on the CD that is on your computer currently? If so, you will be able to update it
