No not 7, several.

I am behind a wall of:

AVG 8.0
Ad-Aware
Spybot S&D
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
Spy Sweeper
Windows Defender
Spyware Doctor
Spyware Blaster
and Hijackthis

This setup effectively protects me against malware, spyware, adware, trojans, and viruses

I used to run AntiVir and Kaspersky as well in addition to those, but got rid of them. AVG is the only one running realtime protection.

No major infection in over two years

As said above only one program should be running realtime protection otherwise it will cause conflicts and slow-downs. I highly recommend AVG.

I know I'm a little bit late.

It's dangerous to run more than one AV not matter what. Even if real-time scanning is disabled. The reason for this is that the AV will install itself into the kernel. Having more than one AV in the kernel can and most likely will cause interference and odds are your computer will crash. You will get BSOD's and corruption could occur in more serious cases.
