Hi i just bought Kaspersky internet secuirty 2009 from there website. i am happy with the program but i have 1 problem that no one can seem to resolve the program fails to play the alert sound when a threat has been detected i get the red pop up warning but no sound. i have all the setting set up correctly but still cannot get the sound. I have contacted kaspersky on the telephone and confirmed all the setting are correct with the operator who then blamed my soundcard was not working correctly which i know is not true. A mate had also bought kapersky and had the same problem on a pc that was under a day old. I have googled this problem and have noticed a lot of people have been having the same problem but cannot seem to find a solution.

This is most probably not going to be of much help to you.

Is it critical that you have to have the warning sound, you have a visual warning as well, so do you really need both?

I find the warning "noises" are an annoyance and are the first thing I turn off...

It's a sad state of affairs when the product developers have no solution for you.

Double-click on the volume icon down by the clock and check that all your levels are un-muted and up to an audible level.

yes i prefer to have sound alert as when playing some games the pop up does not allways appear or if they do can cause the game to crash so the sound option can be useful.

ps yep the volume switch is on full in my taskbar
