I have Symantec installed on my computer right now and I am wondering if Avast would be better. Symantec doesn't seem to pick up anything even though I always update it. I just want a second opinion on whether I should keep Symantec or go with Avast.

Personally -- I would pick Avast.
Symantec uses way too many system resources for me. Note: be sure to use symantec's removal tool--for more complete removal --Norton is known for being tough-to-remove. http://service1.symantec.com/Support...05033108162039

Thanks for the second opinion. I was leaning toward avast and now I am sure. Symantec was having problems anyway.
