I am currently getting an error message stating

"The Remote Procedure Call Service Terminated unexpectidly please save work as the system will shut down in 60 seconds"

"Shutdown was initiated by NT Authority\SYSTEM"

I have researched the internet and found various references to the Blaster Worm or similar and I have attempted to follow the various instructions to solve the problem

The first issue I cannot overcome is that I cannot STOP my PC from re-booting every 60 seconds this is because SAFE mode is not accessible and when I use the
START>RUN>"services.msc" or
"shutdown -a" command it fails to open services or stop the procedure call to terminate

I have also attempted to go to this via control panel and right clicking the My computer icon and choosing manage but non of these repond prior to the 60 seconds ending and rebooting

I am pulling my hair out attempting to stop it and I have attempted to end several odd processes via the task manager but none of these work

Any advice appreciated

What happens when you try to start in safe mode? To start in safe mode you need to repeatly tap the F8 key when your boot your pc. Are you getting an error of some sort when you try to start in safe mode?

I am brand new to this list and noticed your post. I am having the exact same problem at the moment. Looks like I have been infected with the W32 Blaster worm. I am very interested in how to get rid of it. Wouyld appreciate any and all advice.
