Default avg 8.0 won't start

so, before, i had the avg problem in which the options aren't accessible, updater won't function properly and the scheduled tasks won't start. I ' tried fixing it using the 'uninstall-ccleaner-reinstall' method that was suggested in various forums, but when i re-install and reboot, AVG 8.0 won't run at startup, and then when i click on it's icon on desktop, a popup appears saying 'the avg toolbar was unable to connect with certain avg components. please check all avg 8.0 components are installed and running.' I uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times, but it's still the same.
I wonder what happened..
For any fixes, thanks in advance.

[edit]
i realize the pop up opens when I open firefox. there's no icon of avg in the system tray. but there's still the processes in the processes list and UI won't open even when I click on the desktop icon.

Hello Schlei,

There has been some issues with AVG 8. As friend Ih8bills mentioned, Problems arrise if you upgrade from AVG 7.5. It is suggested that you uninstall AVG 7.5 first. Also AVG 8 has issues with the FAT32 format. They are working on this problem. There has also been talk of incompatabilities with other spyware programs. Please make sure when you install AVG 8 that you have Administrative rights
