As long as you are a home user, you can download a trial to make sure it will work for you. Antivirus Software - Register for a Free Trial

I don't like Kaspersky personally. I use Avira Anti-Vir Personal which is free and ZoneAlarm firewall.

I run Kaspersky on all 3 of my computers and am very impressed. I ran BitDefender for a few years and switched over when my subscription to BD ran out last time.

I personally use Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite. I've been using it for around 2yrs and can honestly say I've not had any major issues. As soon as a bug tries to get in, ZA boots it out! GUI is simple and user-friendly and the app is lite on your system usage. You'll find find a lot of ppl use the ZA firewall as its free and reliable. I opted for the suite to have one complete piece of kit. ZA pretty much gets on with the work "so you don't have to".

Hope this helps.

I have heard many good things about Kaspersky so I would say yes your good with that anti virus program. However it is VERY expensive compared to other anti virus products out on the market.

Antivirus Software: Kaspersky Lab - Protection Against Malware and Cybercrime

Personally I like NOD 32 and I use it myself. It is just as good if not better than Kaspersky and a lot cheaper. When I switched to NOD 32 about 2 months ago, there was a sale where you got a 2 year subscription for around $50.00!

Antivirus Software - Eliminate viruses with ESET NOD32 Antivirus and ESET Smart Security

Kapersky is notably one of the best anti-virus programs available, it's generally in the top three (if not #1) in most tests....Norton blows, I can't believe they charge for that POC program. I run AVG Free, Zone Alarm, and Spybot with absolutely no problems and I know several users here do the same.

NOD32 is known to be one of the top dogs for malware removers. It is highly recommended.
