If you have the 7.5 version, the 8.0 version will automatically replace the 7.5 version if you choose.

I'm an AVG user and have been for a long time. But I'll wait a bit on this version. They are trying something new and from the posts on the AVG forum it seems they released a bit too soon. I tried AVG8 not too long ago and had lots of trouble with it. Never the less I will keep watching the progress. I believe they will get it ironed out and have a quality program.

I run it and have no probs. The only thing is that it slows down my google searching a little bit with it's Link Scanner but other than that no probs at all

Like Zachary, I have no problems with AVG 8 although the upgrade link from version 7.5 does lead you to the "Pay For" version of AVG 8.0 and not the free version. For that you have to go to AVG Free - Download antivirus and antispyware software for Windows XP and Vista

Also, you will receive the option to install Ask Toolbar. I recommend that you do not install it. It will serve no use. If you want a good, free toolbar, check out Google Toolbar.
