Default virus scan getting stuck in system32 folder

Hey,

Every time I try and run Symantec anti-virus or Windows Defender the scan gets stuck on a file in the system32 folder and just keeps scanning it.

Also every time Symantec reports an attempted hack it points to the source being in a Symantec folder.

Also just started getting the blue screen when I'm on a web browser. I assume I have some viruses but my anti viruses can't even scan properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
