Lightbulb virus and computer problems

Help!!!!!!!!!!!

After running RunScanner it seems I'm missing several windows drivers so I've attempted to run SFC/Scannow but it says it can't be found...other than rebooting my whole system is there anything I can drive to get this system up running properly

RunScanner won't open again for me to copy the files it says can't be found.
Thanks in advance

I would try a repair if you have the operating disk?

Do you have the operating disk?

I think you need the operating disk if you cannot do a sytem restore.

You have deleted some of the registry and caused some damage.

Thanks for for your help Jelly Bean,
I sort a of figured I'd have to do a complete system restore, but I was hoping there was an alternative.

Ok as you cannot do a system restore can you borrow an operating disk as in OEM that came supplied with a friends computer? Not a retail that was bought with a key?

If you can borrow one from a friend a recovery may help this situation.

What operating system are you running?

Vista has a backup you burn as an ISO to disk to reinstall Vista?

Talking Re: virus and computer problems

I did borrow an OEM and managed to restore the system so I could boot up in safe mode. There was a Bagle Trojan and a couple other virus I got rid of. My virus program says that I have a Win32/When U.A. adware attached that I haven't found any information on so that I can rid of it.
All that is left is figuring out why my system has this unusual whine to it. I'm running XP Pro currently my old system was XP Home.
Thanks again all of your tips in this forum has been most helpful
