Exclamation [Fixed] Impossible To Delete :(
Okay so I'm trying to install Kaspersky Internet Security Version 7.0 on this laptop but the problem is that when I try to install it, it detetcs McAfee Virus Scan and won't complete the install. I get this but I've searched high and low for this mcafee program and i cannot find or delete it. I did uninstall it before trying to install Kaspersky. But, for some reason its still picking it up.
Ive tried just about everything from safe mode, registry, etc...and thoughts or ideas?
please help...this is very irritating

Does it give an exact file name / path when it detect the Mcaffe File ?

If you open Regedit-- under "edit" menu-- it has Find.
Try Mcafee try Mcafee scan-- once you do locate something --Rightclick + delete... then click Find next-- until no more "nexts" show up.
REBOOT imediately.
Then try the new install.

It can't hurt...you might also look in your "Program Files" folder and look for anything relating to McAfee, then delete it

Problem solved
See before I would just run it through the normal boot...it would never allow me to delete anything.
Just tried in safe mode for the first time with the utility you provided and it worked nicely. I now have Kaspersky installed error free!
Sometimes, the easiest solution is the obvious solution
