Hey, my new pc is delivered tomorrow, and I will need some anti-virus protection, any referals as to what to download..? It will be running Windows Vista if that makes any difference.

that version ok..? also, as it says trial version, good enough to protect..?

My best advice, is download avast I have never had an avast machine that has been hit, BUT i have seen 4 AVG machines that have.
I hope you realise you'll need Anti-spyware too?

Hey guys already sorted this one.He has installed AVG/Spybotsearch and destroy.
Has sorted his browser history/temp files,etc.
Has had a few tips on keeping is new Vista PC clean.
He has also learned a few tricks on fixing PCs.

As far as PC Security for free goes, here's my list of installed programs:

AVG Antivirus Free
Ad-Aware
Spybot Search & Destroy
Zone Alarm
and CCleaner
AVG, Spybot, and Zone Alarm run automatically at startup and when I feel the need I run the other two...
