Really hard to say for sure-- NOD32 has always been well respected--
and Vista is a "can of worms" in my opinion-- so it could be Vista/drivers/installation -- or any combination thereof.
I just don't like Norton products in particular...huge resource hogs/finicky operation/ and a
major pain to uninstall if you don't like it
There is also Panda which is what I'm running currently.
I like it-- Easy setup/operation good protection... "up to 3 PC" license-- which makes it a good deal for me-- one license for my PC and the kids
