Hi Elp,

Scarey, I had to remove McAfee from a new Dell PC earlier today because the uninstaller didn't quite do it's job. From the top of my head, these all run as 4 services.

- Go to Start, Run and type services.msc
- There should be 4 starting with "mc".
- Right click on each on and go to Properties.
- Stop each service and change them from Automatic to Disabled.

Thanks - did that, didn't work. In the end deleted all McAfee directories, then ran McAfee removal tool in safe mode which appeared to work, then into IE7 and its diagnostic tool found another bit of McAfee (something LISP I think) which it removed. Now all sunny and sweet again.

thanks
