Anti-Virus - Getting Norton off my PC... posted in the Security & Safety forums; I'm trying to uninstall Norton and it keeps coming up asking for a password. I have no password. Woud someone know how to get this **** off my PC?? Thanks...

I'm trying to uninstall Norton and it keeps coming up asking for a password.
I have no password. Woud someone know how to get this **** off my PC??

Hi rosss, welcome to the PCHF.

Norton is like this - it's a "security" messure so that a virus/spyware can't uninstall automatically

The password should be symantec all lower case.

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool

Hi and thank you.
symantec did not work, and the tool states that it need to be removed from the add/remove which ask for a password.
