Default [Resolved] win 32 trojan-gen

Avast located win 32 trojan-gen on my computer and put it in the chest but now my computer is so slow! I don't know how to figure out what was affected or how to make it better. Any help would be so appreciated!
Thanks,
Rachel

1. To verify that you do in fact have a clean computer, click on the "Free AV Scan" at the bottom of this message. Launch the HouseCall to scan your computer.
2. Assuming you get a clean bill of health, whichever program is running slow, reinstall it. This should reinstate any damage inflicted by the trojan. If it is the XP in general that seems slow, then click on the "XP System File Checker" link at the bottom of this message and follow the directions.

Good Luck...

I ran the housecall and it didn't find anything. However, avast came up again saying that it had detected the same virus. Should I just assume that there is not a problem? Thanks for your help!

Never assume anything. I do not know the workings of your Avast program. Let's hope that someone who uses it can jump in here and help you.

The only thing that I might do is uninstall your current Avast program and reinstall it fresh. Your copy might have a glitch in it. Assuming you can download a fresh copy or have a CD to reinstall it and them download the updates.

I know is irritating to have different results.

Good Luck...
