Default Need Help

hi guys, Im new here, and iv been reading alot of ur threads since registering and i can only say im impressed by the amount of support u guys give here.

well im in ditress myself, i dont kno how it started but i always had a "Safe" pc, the main programm i used for the scan was trendmicro's internet scanner. always deteced my viruses and cleaned them up.

My problem started 3 days ago when i went and ran a scan and my it showed i had 18 viruses, i was quite shocked and some of them were undeletable, so i read and asked around for a food antivirus programm and AVG popped up quite alot.

i downloaded the software ran the scan and found 88 threats, went to the virus vault, healed some and others were unhealble so it wiped it clean, after that my pc just woulnd't work, internet eplorer wouldnt work, and my cpu Usage was almost 100 percent all the time and had random crashes and the dreaded blue screen.

only solution i could think of (bar coming here for help) was a fresh reformat, and i done so. but the crazy thing was even tho i just reformatted all my files were still there, in my c drive, altho it wasnt listed in add/remove programms so i thought i deleted them, ran AVG scan again and the same thing keeps poppin up, and it finds them in the strangest fo place slike logitech.exe and so forth.

the file name that is detcted is generic4.cfv and avg antivirus cant delete that, i was wondeirng is there any way i can actualy remove that without removin the exe itself cause thats how avg solved it last time and lead to many malfunctions.

sorry for my long post,

regards
kit

I dont have much of an answer for you but, all your files ar estill tehre becasue you did not do a clean install. As for that, I leave the rest up to someone else.

hey garhar, well like i said in my previous post, AVG detcted something, but scan kept running when i realised it was scanning my WoW folder AGAIN. so i stopped scan healed it, then went and rebooted, but before long, on the saving screen error message came up.

and it wouldnt boot not even in safe mode, some windows 32 file went missing is my guess so i tottaly reformatted deleted everything,

now onto reinstalling all my drivers and apps, with college tomorrow in a few hours, sigh

thanks for ur fast replies tho
