Default Slaving a drive to run virus/spyware scans...

I'm trying to work on a way to have a dedicated virus/spyware scanning machine. My plan is to scan other drives by running them as a slave on my main computer and run the scans all from one machine.

If I slave a drive, will the virus scanner scan that drive's registry? Is there anything the virus scanner will not scan?

Anyone have any advice or know of any problems with this method? I'm doing it this way so I don't have to install virus scanners on every machine I want to scan.

Thanks in advance

Im unsure about what it will scan. But you should have Antivirus Software on each PC for on-access/realtime protection.

I'm not worried about real time protection. This would be for a virus removal service for my business. I'm trying to find a better way than just installing a bunch of trials on each computer I clean up.
