avg removal error message ..need help please

hi I have tried to remove avg but I get an error message

Installer initialization failed due to following error:
Error: Initialization of the language file "C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG7" failed.
General failure.

can anyone help please as I am trying to install panda security.and it clashes with the AVG on my system so I need to remove it first.....thanks

Hey Debbie , suprisingly this is a common problem , but can be tricky to correct.

Have a look at the following thread and read through all posts , on both pages
