Hi Ralph.
Just a bit of clarification here. Zone Alarm is a Firewall program - not an anti-virus program. Microsoft scans each document on their hotmail servers before it gets to yours - so you don't have mcafee on your computer. If you don't have any sort of anti-virus program, please download AVG Free 7.5 from AVG Anti Virus: HOME It's a free - really good - anti virus program.

if u have 2 antivirus programs then they will conflict act as a 2 wall and the viruses will go through middle of them. but zonealarm is a firewall program your best bet is to get a anti-virus you need 2 try and get 1 wit tru prevent.that means that it physicly blocks the virus on your comp.. for example some programs let the virus get onto your system and then tells you u got a virus eg. ( virus has been detected) so try and get a tru prevent eg. bitdefender

Yeah i agree with what GaRHaR said, more then one Anti-virus is bad and also having more then one Firewall but more then one Anti-spyware is ok.
do you have a Anti-spyware?, it's recommended that you have 1 Anti-Virus 1 Firewall And at least 1 Anti-Spyware. a example is, for the Anti-virus is AVG Free 7 from AVG Anti Virus: HOME as GaRHaR said. For the Firewall Zonealarm ZoneAlarm FREE Download for the Anti-spyware, (you can have 1 or more.) Ad-aware Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition Avg Antispyware 7.5 AVG Anti-Spyware Free as long as you keep these up to date you should be virus free .Bugsey.
