If it's free to you I guess it's worth it... I just got tired of the "bloat" with Norton. You could always double-check it by running an online scan once a month ...

I see Norton as a big fat hog of resources, but i agree with ih8bills if you get it free you might aswell try it.

one question, I have downloaded Norton remover (well its in the pc) as my ISP says I have to remove an allready installed version before I can download the free version.
Am I leaving myself open to virus attack if remove my current version then go to the ISP site to download the new version? say 10-15 minutes unprotected?

Presuming If I Went AVG this would over write Norton then I could delete after?

It wouldnt really matter too much, just dont go anywhere else and keep firewall on.

If you went with AVG you would have to uninstall norton first.

thanks Guys, would have thought there would be a safer way as just spent weeks getting rid of a trojan on one sons pc as virus out of date now the other one has to be sorted which is why Im worrying about contracting a virus on here¬!!
