Hey there Kay ,

i carn't say that i've heared of this happening. But with IE7's built in Anti-Phising application's and good Anti-Spyware i don't think it would matter to much if your Mcafee site advisor work well anyway.

A good alterantive to "Mcafee site advisor" is SpywareBlaster

SpywareBlaster will add a large list of programs and sites into your Internet Explorer settings that will protect you from running and downloading known malicious programs.
A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
Using SpywareBlaster to protect your computer from Spyware and Malware.

I'm sure this thread's in the wrong forum if it is a Moderator will move it for you.

Haven't heard of any problems yet, but a quick look on Google shows this:

I have site advisor installed on internet explorer 7 and it stays in the greyed condition all time. I have removed site advisor and reinstalled it with the same results.
And this was a fix for it:

McAfee SiteAdvisor

Or you could use Firetrust Sitehound as a replacement:

@Bugsey, Spyware Blaster is indeed a good app to use, but a completly different type of app then SiteAdvisor or SiteHound.
