Hey DrewTB,

I don't believe that I've had the pleasure, so welcome to PCHF from me.

If you have removed, and then recreated and activated the partition using FDISK, you will need to restart your PC, using the bootdisk that you used to get to FDISK. This time at the command prompt, you will want to type in Format C:
This will format the HDD, then you can reboot with the OS CD and install.

Let me know if you have any difficulties.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

OK, you need to go to Bootdisk.com, and download an XP bootdisk. Don't add Format to it, that comes with it. You should then be able to bootup and use the Format command.

If that doesn't work, use a 98SE bootdisk.

Looking forward to your reply,
