Question McAfee Virus Scan problem

For some reason, in the last few days, the McAfee tray icon stays black(which would indicate that it is disabled) but when I go to McAfee security center, it says that my virus scan is safely enabled. No matter how many times I disable and enable it again, the tray Icon stays black. I dont know if this is a virus or just some kind of malfunction that can be fixed by reinstalling McAfee. Help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Howdy Ksince,
Have you did an update lately? That could be why it is "black". Try doing an update and see if that changes it back to its orignal color.

Yep, it seems to be updated correctly. The tray icon remains black instead of red.

Default Here is the easiest solution

Try uninstalling it the officiall way with the control panel Add\Remove and then Reinstall drectly from the internet from the official site. If the problem persists it means the programs may have entered in conflict with another program that you have recently installed and therefore you if you purchased the programs you should contact Mcfee help center at:
http://www.mcafeehelp.com/ and they shoould be able fix your problem. If ever you want me to advice you about new software which are as reliable if not more reliable then Mcfee therefore send another post and all check it out and ill advice you on 1 or 2 excellent freware program which are on the market currently.

That might be your problem right there. You should never have 2 antivirus software on your system they will cancel one another out. You should remove one and keep the other. And this will resolve your problem
